If you are a tourism business that requires the selling of its business and assets through the use of images then you are welcome to apply for our free photography and videoing. In each instance you must spend £1500 or more with the Design for Tourism creators, ADK Ltd, and enquire first to discuss your eligibility. This offer is for Somerset and Devon only. Other areas considered but may incur expenses and travel fees.

Though this offer if advertised to tourism businesses the final offer and decision is at the discretion of ADK Ltd.

It must also be noted that we are not qualified in photography or film, but as a creative design and media company with years of creative experience we do have all the professional equipment and get good results. For this reason, and unlike qualified professionals who can guarantee quality results, we cannot guarantee quality results all the time. However, our work has been used by professional organisations, government tourism agencies, official town centre's, tourism magazines and tourism businesses.

In return for us doing this for free you will be expected to provide all services, products, entry, etc for free to enable us to experience what you provide and to assist us in finding photographic opportunities during the process of experience. We will also require exclusive access to non-public areas.

For example, a canal centre that provided boat rides and refreshments required this service. Therefore the objective was to capture the boat rides, the cafe, the food and drink, and the surrounding landscapes. It was also clear that their target customers were families but due to laws regarding photographs of people that are recognisable, getting permissions from such an audience would be quite a task. For this reason we provided 10 individuals on the day of photography ranging from 3 yrs of age to 70 yrs of age, each giving their permission to use their images for promotional purposes - this is known as a model release form. The canal centre then agreed to provide for 10 individuals a free boat ride and free food and drink. The result was a collection of images showing a range of ages enjoying aspects and assets of the tourism location and business. These images were then used for the new canal centre website, for a video slide show and used in a gallery. Plus, they now have a range of photographs that they can access at any time for future promotions.

Depending on your type of business, on the day, we encourage the photography of staff, vans, premises, etc. Therefore it is prudent to ensure all is presented at a high level, and don't forget your staff can act as customers in photos but you still need their permission and have them sign a model release form.
